Baseada no chassi Class 5 Ram 5500 Chassis Cab, o conceito monstruoso tem entre eixos de 5,01 metros, suficiente para abrigar um sedã grande entre as rodas.
O peso também é excessivo: 4.218 quilos. O motor usado é um Cummins 6.7 diesel, ligado a um câmbio automático Aisin de seis marchas. Para não ter autonomia muito reduzida, a Ram Long-Hauler Concept recebeu três tanques de combustível, que juntos levam nada menos que 643 litros de diesel.
Outros detalhes interessantes incluem a suspensão a ar Kelderman e as rodas de alumínio da Alcoa, com 19,5 polegadas. O interior é todo customizado e leva 2+2 pessoas, com DVD e geladeira.
O fabricante diz que se trata apenas de um carro conceito, e que ele será mostrado em várias regiões do país durante oito meses, para colher as opiniões dos possíveis compradores e quem sabe transformar o modelo em uma pickup de produção.
